We believe the future of health care starts with the students of today. OSF STEAM is a program from OSF HealthCare that helps kids build strong skills in science, technology, engineering, art and math while learning how these subjects connect to real jobs in health care.
We started in 2017 with hands-on programs like STEAM Saturdays and Summer STEAM Camps for middle and high school students. These fun and educational events help students explore topics like anatomy, medical technology and engineering. Over time, we expanded our work to reach even more learners, including college students and patients at OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois.
In 2020, we launched OSF STEAM at Home, making our programs available to students anywhere. Families and community groups can order kits that include everything needed to complete a fun STEAM project at home. We also offer a collection of free activities, video demonstrations and educational apps that families can use anytime to spark curiosity and support learning at home.
